No More Scraps: Because Food is a Right Not a Privilege - Community Food Centres Election Toolkit

Community Food Centres Canada (CFCC) has created a few opportunities to support your capacity: to engage on bringing Food Insecurity and Poverty into the Federal Election campaign conversations:

  1. CFCC has penned an open letter and is asking for organizations to endorse by co-signing by April 9th at 5pm. The letter is to be sent to party leaders and a press release to generate attention is in the works.

    1. "We are stronger together, and this federal election presents a crucial moment to bring food security to the forefront of the national conversation. Now is the time to demand bold action to address this growing crisis."

  1. CFCC has designed a comprehensive campaign kit for community food organizations hosting events or activities during the upcoming federal election. The kit includes resources and tools to engage your community and candidates in discussions around food insecurity and poverty such as: template letter to your MP; template schedule for an all candidates event; template event organizing process to brainstorm capacity, resources, goals.
